The T cell antigen receptor (TCR) consists of a ligand-specific alpha/beta heterodimer non-covalently associated with five invariant chains including the CD3 gamma/delta/eta and zeta subunits, all of which are required for efficient surface expression.

Antibodies that detect TCR gamma/delta can be used in several scientific applications, including Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation, Functional Assay and ELISA. These antibodies target TCR gamma/delta in Mouse, Human, Rat, Chicken and Reptile samples.

Purified anti-human TCR α/β Antibody - The IP26 antibody reacts with a monomorphic determinant of the α/β T-cell receptor, which is expressed on greater than 95% of normal peripheral blood CD3+ T cells.

Specificity: Antibody JOVI-1 recognizes human C beta 1 TCR gene product and reacts with 50-75% of T cells in normal human blood (1). JOVI-1 does not bind to TCR C beta 2 (5). Functional Application: Antibody JOVI-1 is mitogenic for T cells expressing TCR C beta 1.
