Jun 4, 2020 · I am going to re-parkerize that bolt stop so it matches the rest of the rifle. Note the beveled inlet at the clip guide, and the connector arm was modified to resemble the T44E4 profile. I'm going to do a bit of filing on that part to improve its fit and profile.

Although it was not principally designed by any single engineer, one engineer in Harvey's rifle design group, Lloyd Corbett, is credited for several refinements to the T44 design, such as a bolt roller to reduce friction and a straight operating rod.

Aug 6, 2024 · The T44 itself never went beyond the prototype stage. But the basic bolt and operating rod mechanism of the FG 42 and the belt feed system of the MG 42 were incorporated into a new design. Initiated in April 1947, the new weapon was designated the T52.

Aug 17, 2021 · The part number on the bolt is 7267003 SA. The clip guide has a more radiused slot and the bolt lock has a narrower lip. This particular receiver is number 1200 which is the same serial number found on the T44E4 rifle in the NRA Museum.

Aug 14, 2021 · T44 receivers are from Bula Defense Systems a couple of years ago. Built these two up using I each USGI SA and Winchester kits including barrels, bolts, oprods, trigger groups and other assorted small parts that came with the kits so they are close to complete for each mfg.
