Mar 18, 2023 · The KV-150, or more commonly named T-150, was an attempt to improve the armor of the KV-1 even before the KV-1 entered mass production.

The T-150 is a Soviet tier 6 heavy tank. On July 17, 1940, the Council of People's Commissars of the U.S.S.R. and the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of the Bolsheviks made a decision on developing new heavy tanks. By November 5, the Kirov Plant manufactured the T-150 prototype.

The T-220, T-150's older brother, killed two engines over a week of trials, and now there was a tank that weighed not 62.5, but almost 70 tons! The questions of how this monster was supposed t be transported and towed remained without an answer.

Sep 23, 2020 · The prototype T-150 was 11.10.1941 assigned to the 123rd Tank Brigade. As part of it, he took part in several combat operations and was later most likely destroyed, respectively. his next fate is unknown.

The T-150 was a further development of the KV-1, and weighed as much as 50 tons. The T-150 underwent trials in the first half of 1941. A prototype fought in the battles for Leningrad, and became the basis for a modification of the KV-1 with reinforced armor.
