Oct 6, 2021 · Well. It’s a honey fig. It’s actually got great size. This tree didn’t get any winter protection or special treatment. It will ripen all its figs for me without a headstart here in Oregon being grown in a 7g pot in its second year. It’s a pretty fig. It continues to ripen even in our sudden cool, wet weather. Very tight

Oct 4, 2019 · It did drop all its fig its second year (no figs year one). Year three, 70 delicious figs at about 2' high, and as wide. This year, after its major pruning, and width reduction, it gave about 60 figs, but they were about 25% larger, still this fig gets medium boiled egg yolk sized at best. Back to ripening dates.

For a fig ripened on Nov 1st, this is incredibly good. 8/10 for me. Tastes like a marshmallow. Very sweet and very typical flavor of your average honey fig. Kadota, LSU Champagne & Mary Lane Seedless all have a similar flavor, but this has taken those to a new level in my opinion.

Sep 18, 2019 · This is my first yr fruiting Sbayi. Just looking at the figs on the tree I thought they looked over watered and swollen. So I wasn't expecting much for taste. But wow this is one very sweet fig. The older petioles are very pink. I can't see pink in the wood like I've read about.
