Oct 10, 2005 · The suse logo is also a chameleon, although it's species is not well defined, it could be, and my suspicion is that it is, a juvenile Veiled Chameleon. Jun 16, 2006 · The bootsplash patchset is supposed to enable a lot of flexibility and control over how the boot process should look to the end user. Since it seems that the it is only in the upper left-hand corner, I assume that the SuSE people did it the easy way and just patched the tux logo with a SuSE one (but since I am not a native SuSEan, I may be wrong).

Dec 7, 2005 · I have suse 9.2 on a Dell P4, and I ususally run from console mode. The first screen, tty1, has an anoying SuSE - Novell logo at the bootom of the screen, which I would like to remove. Can anyone tell me how to remove this logo. Thanks Irv

Jan 23, 2006 · I have seen generally that whenever we boot from a Knoppix CD, the booting process happens with the framebuffer driver and also there is a small colourful tux logo on the top left hand side of the screen. Right now when I boot my Debain Sarge 3.1 (GNOME Installed) the booting process happens in regular text mode.

Oct 3, 2004 · The Suse Personal installation disk loads to a welcome screen and then to an installation screen that asks if I want to install, install with no ACPI, install with safe settings, manually install, or rescue system. If I select anything other than "manual install," it goes to a Suse logo screen and hangs up.
