Mar 15, 2024 · The Z4 will more likely than not have more creature comforts than the Supra which may make it a better decision. I chose the Supra over the Z4 because I’m not a fan of soft top convertibles. Same thing with the 718 Cayman and C7 I was cross-shopping.

Jun 13, 2022 · Didn't drive the Z4 so can't comment on performance but videos and lap times don't lie :) Blind spot and visibility out of Supra is limited, but BSM works really well and there's convex mirror available for Supra.

Jul 6, 2019 · The Supra as a car is better than it has ever been (barring any reservations about reliability and repairablity at Toyota dealerships). The Supra as an icon that kids and fanatics can brag about being a pure JDM god has been shot and kicked out to the curb to bleed out.

Obviously, that development timeline didn’t line up with Toyota/BMW’s planned release of the Supra/Z4, so they chose to go with an off-the-shelf drivetrain rather than develop one from scratch. The question isn’t about whether Toyota could afford to develop a one-off motor, because of course they can.

Customers love the BMW Z4 30i the Supra 2.0 drives even better. The 2.0 made the Supra more affordable which puts the car in more hands and that’s always a good thing. Now someone with a below $50k budget will get a Nissan Z or something …

Mar 14, 2024 · The article isn't talking about the Z4 that shares an engine (B series) and platform with the A90 Supra, which is the G29. The article is talking about the first generation Z4, the E86, which had M, N, and S series engine options.

Jan 31, 2024 · Nah, I respectfully disagree. The Supra will hold its value as it's billed as a proper sports car, but the Z4 is a grand touring roadster with two prior models. Its only differentiating feature to old ones is the B58, but the older ones are lighter and more connected. A Boxster is a better sports car and gets you Porsche brand prestige.

Jul 8, 2023 · And it's just a great engine in general. My pick would be for the Supra, personally. Handling, power delivery, the manual is excellent but the auto is one of the better ones out there as well (same as the Z4's auto). The Supra is nowhere near as nice inside, it rides rougher, the infotainment kind of sucks, and just materials are meh.
