Feb 7, 2019 · Sunforger's ability starts to resolve. You search your library for an Enlightened Tutor and cast it from your library without paying its mana cost. The stack now contains the resolving Sunforger ability as well as the Enlightened Tutor, which is sitting on top of the Sunforger ability. You shuffle your library.

Jun 23, 2020 · UW has some counterspells like [[Dovin's Veto]] & [[Render Silent]], etc. My point is don't assume Sunforger can ONLY grab cards in the Boros colour pie because it can hit a lot of spells. If you are reliably tutoring up Sunforger then I would run 9-12 pieces of instant speed interaction that Sunforger can grab.

Aug 30, 2022 · The Wombo Combo requires Sunforger, a lot of colored mana, and either opponents with nonbasics, or a giant Bruenor. Sometimes the stars don't align and you need a backup plan. [[Akroma's Will]] basically grants unblockable and double strike and can help you kill a player or two, while the Lifelink and Vigilance protects you from any crackback.

The thing I don't like about cards like this is I need to add a lot of cards that wouldn't particularly fit if it wasn't for Sunforger. Cards you don't really want to draw usually. Like when I don't draw Sunforger, I don't really want to keep 4 mana up for Wild Ricochet in a deck where I try to smash faces and suit things with equipments.

Nov 24, 2019 · Well I’ve been sitting on this card for a long time. I was browsing around on EDHrec today and I saw that they have “Sunforger Decks” , listed as a theme. This is the first time I’ve heard of this deck type. So I have no idea what it really is. So what are these Sunforger decks anyhow? How do they work? Thanks for any feedback!

Sunforger became a no brainer (Anti-)removal tutor. I'm set up with [[Erie Interlude]] and [[Boros Charm]] to avoid boardwipes, [[Rakdos Charm]] for the option to hit graveyards or mana rocks, [[Hero's demise]] is a cheap commander killer, and a splattering of instant speed removal.

Grab extra turn spell with Sunforger (Final Fortune, Chance for Glory, Last Chance, or Warrior's Oath all work) Play extra turn spell. (four mana total for this turn, assuming you already had Sunforger equipped) Enter extra turn. Re-equip Sunforger (3 mana) Unattach Sunforger, finding Angel's Grace (5 mana on the turn)
