That Fire Arrow is only for the final blow to a hard fight or when he wants to use it to cause mass damage. To see it as an opponent is truly the highest honor. I think if Sukuna wasn’t confident about copying Mahoraga’s world cutting technique, he would’ve used Fire Arrow. But he made it and won, so it was unnecessary.

The condition to open the furnace is to first use cleave and dismantle on the opponent, and that's it, the fire is unlocked. This process is a lot more efficient and destructive inside his domain. The fire arrow could be a partial summoning of a bow and arrow type of weapon like you said, and this aligns with what i said about the weapons being sealed in his tattoos because when Sukuna used it against Jogo he said "Open", hinting that he had to open some kind of seal to gain access to the weapon or it's abilities.

May 22, 2021 · If Sukuna's fire is purple/blue then it might be burning hotter than normal fire (I know colors don't necessarily determine heat) which would provide better understanding to how Jogo and Mahoraga were burned to ashes (I know 15 finger Sukuna was way stronger than them, but its still crazy how he killed the volcano disaster curse by burning him).

A simpler explanation is that the fire arrow is Sukuna's own CTR (search the nuclear fission CT theory which really makes this make sense), which also explains Jogo's reaction as CTR is being used and it would be a foreign concept to curses.
