A suburitō (素振り刀) is a type of bokken, a wooden practice sword originating in Japan and used in Japanese martial arts. Suburi (素振り; literally, "basic or plain swing") means "practice swing"; a suburitō is therefore used to practice sword-swinging.

The Subirito (or Suburi Bokken) is a training sword that is used in traditional Japanese martial arts such as Kenjutsu, Kendo, Aikido and Ninjutsu or any martial art that uses the traditional Japanese Katana.

The Suburito is a large heavier version of the bokken. It's purpose is for training control of the sword or more accurately training to swing and the stop the sword. Repeated practice will give the user great sword control and is beneficial to sword training.
