If your vertical leveling isn't always correct when it's operational, I would look at the rear height sensor for any apparent damage or wiring/connector issues. The PDF has info on that. Nov 27, 2022 · The steering responsive headlights (SRH) have auto-leveling but I'm not sure if the non SRH ones do. A 2020 Onyx did not have SRH and on mine it doesn't seem to auto level, but even an auto-leveling headlight can be misadjusted for height - kinda like zeroing a scale.

Mar 17, 2022 · SRH can be disabled from vehicle settings in the infotainment, just FYI. Sounds like maybe your headlights are pointed too low? The full LED adaptive headlights on our Outbacks are super bright and if aimed correctly, have a lot of breadth (how wide the light shines) and throw (how far forward it goes).
