Mar 28, 2010 · I am now on my second Forester which is a 2010 X, and chose the X model over the XT because I needed a relaible, economical commuter car that will get me through the Northeastern Ohio snow and is ultra safe for the times when the family is riding along. I owned a 2002 WRX and had a blast while it lasted, but the X gives me all that I really need.

Sep 13, 2010 · The X premium replaced it. Both of those got 4 wheel disc brakes. Only the base 2.5 X has drums on the rear. 07 and 08 got the sport model with the STI front bumper, autos got the VTD+VDC auto trans. However no fog lights and the 07 sport model was pretty stripped down. The sport is available in both the XT turbo model and the X NA model.

This is something I haven't pinned down anywhere, yet. iWire says, "Unlike conventional aftermarket security systems that use a starter interrupt to keep the car from cranking over, the Subaru immobilizer system uses a combination of fuel and ignition cut-off so it can't be defeated.
