Nov 1, 2010 · There is a 4 and 3 ride version for the student metrocard, and some that work only weekdays, some also for sundays, and even some for saturdays, plus the haf-fare cards as well- the individual school and the decide which card is necessary for which students. There is a lot of variability across schools and students.

May 26, 2016 · Seeing that the cards are supposed to be school related activities, it is related. Going to the mall is not a school related activity even if it is after-school. I have been stopped while using my student Metrocard before outside of school hours and questioned as to where I was going, so it is possible.

Dec 25, 2008 · You pay 5 bucks either in change or with a regular metrocard and its annoying. The whole point of the X32 is for HS students so our metrocards should work on the bus. On MTA Bus you swipe the student metrocard and put in 2.50. I do it when I take the QM1A.

Feb 9, 2018 · Some students in NYC with Student MetroCard can't be used on Bee-Line Bus or NICE Bus. I remember one scenio I was Bee-Line 2 bus from Yonkers and 2 students with NYC StudentMetroCard didn't know Bee-Line bus can't use NYCB issue Student MetroCard, so nice LibertyLines driver let them on.

May 17, 2019 · Well the Student MetroCard is only functional from Monday-Friday from 5:30am-8:30pm, capped at 3 trips, and for the students who make multiple transfers get a 4 trip, as well as a Special program pass good for two trips, night school Student MetroCard, and one variant which can be used during the weekends for those with weekend school.

One time when I was HSES Student, and when I used my Student MetroCard at 81st St (when I was living first east side stop on M86, police stop me b/c I used it on New Years. If you put Student MetroCard on Bx12 SBS, fare inspector might give you $100 fine.

Dec 26, 2008 · This is fare evasion. If you really have to ride the bus or subway more than twice a day, use an unlimited metrocard. I will admit that I have used a student metrocard during the weekends once, and was questioned by police for that. Didn't get fined, nor arrested, but received a warning regarding the using of the Student Metrocard.
