Mar 12, 2021 · Improve your FPS rate to stop the "chugs". I was convinced that I was a terrible hunter until I discovered this. Deep six unneeded items and don't leave piles of things on the beach. That should help your FPS. Also, at level 7 hunting, it only takes 2 hits on a giant hog or 3 hits on a shark, using refined spears.

Jun 28, 2020 · The ax works best for the crabs. For the giant hog, climb on a rock, then throw from there. If you hear hissing sound of a snake, stop dead in your tracks, then look for it. Amount of spears needed for each kill depends on your hunting level. Also, the giant hog doesn't follow you into the water, keep in the shallows and throw from there. < >

Nov 26, 2019 · If you go to a new island, craft a few spears beforehand and when you get to the island jump up onto the nearest rock. They can’t get you up there. Giant crabs are killed pretty easily but the giant hog are very vicious. Either that or get your spears and stay in the shallow water and kill the hog from there, easy as they won’t go in the water.
