Stovall, also known as Prarieville, [2] is an unincorporated community in Coahoma County, Mississippi, United States, along Mississippi Highway 1, 7 miles (11 km) north of Sherard and approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Friars Point.

The Mighty Roots Music Festival happens every September in Stovall MS (70 miles south of Memphis) and features Americana and Roots music. (It is not a blues festival.)

The Mississippi Blues Trail has a marker at the site of Muddy Waters’ house on Stovall Farm, just outside Clarksdale, Mississippi. The actual house that Muddy Waters lived in is no longer at this site; it has been moved to the Delta Blues Museum in Clarksdale.
