Bob Ringwood, the film's costume designer gave the Stillsuits a distinctively organic look, but created the problem of manufacturing the tightly quilted and intricately tubed suits.

And Lynch's stillsuits might look slightly dated by modern aesthetics, but I still think they look badass. More importantly, to a viewer in 1984 they would have looked radically new, unlike anything they'd ever seen... because they were.
