Mar 4, 2020 · The OP needs to get a bar from his 500/660 & hold it up against his bar from the 880. Look at the tail (mount). The MS261-661 share the same bar mount. The 880 is bigger and they do not interchange. I'd keep them separate and if you want to run 3/8 chain on the 880, just set it up for that.

They changed about everything different crankcase, flywheel ignition module, cylinder etc. On the ignition module they went from a 3 screw mount to a 2 screw mount. Flywheel from poly to aluminum. As mentioned above the 361 and or 441 module works with the aluminum flywheel. For non rev limited.

Jul 24, 2019 · On the MS 880 the PTO seal will not engage the journal until it's nearly seated. It literally rides the ragged edge of the crank journal. @mirage you may also want to get the press sleeve Arbor for the MS 880, to install the oil seals after the crank is installed.

Jul 24, 2019 · The clones you have to run more oil in you're mix know surprise that the 880 wouldn't be any different run them at 32:1 and they will live on the bar oilers they all suck just modify the oilers and watch that oil run out quick.
