The Heckler & Koch G36 (Gewehr 36) is an assault rifle designed in the early 1990s by German weapons manufacturer Heckler & Koch. Similar to upgrading the M4A1 to the M4-URGI for SOCOM. Its not a new rifle, but rather several components designed to enhance existing rifles. Realistically, I don't see it going anywhere.
