ØsterGRO er Danmarks første tagfarm og et lokalt bylandbrug på 600 kvadratmeter, hvor byens borgere kan komme helt tæt på fødevareproduktionen. Her kan man følge økologiske grøntsagers vej fra jord til bord gennem rundvisninger, workshops, undervisning, frivillig dage og middage.

ØsterGro covers 600 m2 with fields of organically grown vegetables, fruits, greens, herbs and edible flowers, a greenhouse, henhouse and three bee-hives. ØsterGro is organised as a community-supported agriculture (CSA) and sells its produce, in cooperation with the farm Stensbølgård to 40 members.

The place is called ØsterGRO, Denmark’s first rooftop farm, complete with an adjoining restaurant that invites city dwellers to get up close and personal with food production. At Æbløgade number four, a concrete square wrapped in vertical bands of windows gives passersby a glimpse of a busy everyday life.
