The thing about DC’s stereotype is not only is it correct but it’s way more correct than just about any other city stereotype. In fact DC’s sweater-vest wearing, status obsessed white collar worker stereotype is more correct about literally every city than any of their actual stereotypes. Just flip flop the industries a bit.

If one only watches movies or television shows which promote a certain stereotype, he/she will stay within that pocket of knowledge. Focus on the beach cities and one will see more tanned athletic girls, who by and large have wealthier parents and more time for leisure.

She is very liberal, though, so maybe there is some truth to that. On the other hand, they bought the Subie because the towing capacity was a little higher than the PT Cruiser, which they also seriously considered.

DC and Philly have the lowest foreign born populations, yet they are the only cities with a significant nonwhite presence in mainstream culture/identity. outside of (bio0tech academia and few people see Seattle or Boston as melting pots in the same way they perceive NYC or SF.

May 31, 2013 · I have no idea why so many on this forum have this naive assumption that everyone of one particular sex must be a stereotype that ALL thinks and feels the same way. My guess is lack of interpersonal experience with members of whatever sex they are stereotyping.
