Then Robinson launched Starman, starring Jack Knight, the son of the original Starman (Ted Knight, in the lower right) as the 6th Starman.

Starman, formerly Star Boy aka Thom Kallor from the Legion of Super-Heroes. From what I recall he went back in time a thousand years and lost some of his faculties (Salinger-esque) but still wanted to be a hero.

Now THIS is a superhero team. The JSA/Justice Society of America runs were so good. The covers that Alex Ross did for this run are so underrated and cheap. Most go for below cover price which seems like such a waste. When the new series comes out Alex Ross should do at least a number 1 variant.

Jun 5, 2020 · It’s not in continuity but many of the ideas bled over into Robinson’s Starman and the Johns JSA title years later. It’s a page turner! StarMan the complete collection by James Robinson. Amazing, and while not specifically a JSA story it ties into the JSA and the concept of legacy very well and had a lot of influence on John’s JSA title.
