May 26, 2019 · My PSU CPU cable has different shapes than the motherboard. Why? and does it matter? Should I just force it in like the last build? The cable you show is a 8 pin PCIe cable, not the motherboard cable. I see it's labeled CPU, but the pin interlocks don't match up, and the pin interlocks do match a PCIe 8pin.

May 27, 2021 · PSU came with a splitted 4+4 cable labelled CPU (pic https://imgur.com/a/xMcLBNY) but the CPU pins on the mobo are as shown in the diagram and look different from the cable. The combination of round-ish and squared pins in the diagram is matching another cable simply labelled as P8.

Jan 15, 2022 · On my motherboard there's only one CPU power connector with 8 pins (or holes or whatever) labeled CPU_PWR1. However, the CPU power cable from my PSU is split into two 4 pin connectors. One labeled CPU 1 P4 and the other labeled CPU 2 P8.
