May 5, 2017 · I understand how sprinters can have such great lower bodies, but what are they doing to achieve such great upper bodies. I can't find any workouts online geared towards getting a body like a sprinter only ones on how to get faster. Would any sprinters or ex sprinters be willing to share their secrets?

Mar 1, 2021 · Here are some of my workouts and adjust for time I don’t know your age or skill level: 3x300 @ 39 pace with 6 min rest 3x600 @ 90 pace with 10 minute rest 5x250 @ 27 pace with 6 min rest 6x200 @ 28 pace with 2 min rest

Jan 18, 2023 · And speed could be anywhere from like 28-40 seconds depending on the individuals overall endurance and level of sprinting. I personally think its a great workout because the conditioning you get from them is great and helps all other workouts. Also 2x4x300m is also a good one even for sprinters.

Aug 13, 2015 · Not exactly a sprinter (did long/triple jump) but I did a lot of sprint workouts in high school. Usually you alternate between days with medium distance workouts (say 8 200m sprints with maybe 2-3 minutes rest inbetween) and short distance sprints (such as 16 50m dashes with probably 3-5 minutes rest inbetween each set).

Jan 8, 2021 · I’m not a sprinter, so my training will have less sprinting, more lifting, and no speed endurance training. My goals are max velocity, relative strength, vertical jump, and acceleration. Monday: Upper Body Workout A: Session 1: start 6+ hours after waking up -Bench: heavy single, then 6x2, 5x3, or 5x4.

Jun 9, 2020 · Then you could do 1-2 sprinting workouts over 10-60 meters with an emphasis on acceleration and top speed. This will develop the acceleration ability to break 12 despite high volumes of slower running. 1-2 other workouts would be high intensity workouts typically used by 400 and 800 athletes to develop the glycolytic metabolism.

Jan 31, 2023 · All the basic stuff, bench, rows, weighted dips, pull ups, etc. but curls probably don’t matter since biceps aren’t used too much when sprinting so I wouldn’t focus on those. The main thing is that you want to build fast-twitch muscle as a sprinter so you are looking to do these reps quickly and powerfully, go for fewer and more explosive reps.
