Jan 27, 2025 · I already have sponge pre filters on the intakes, they work great and I currently just rinse the filter cartridges every two weeks to wash away any brown, decaying matter. But what would be the best PPI for a sponge inside the HOB? 30 PPI? 50 PPI?

May 12, 2020 · From what I have read 30 ppi should be optimal. I used 45 ppi, it's also works, but is too fine, it should be filled by microorganisms sooner and need some cleaning. 20 ppi is too coarse, 10 is even more coarse.
