Souhaila Sami Andrawes Sayeh (Arabic: سهيلة أندراوس born 28 March 1953 in Beirut [1]) is a former militant [2] and Lebanese member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

Jan 9, 1995 · A Somali court convicted Ms. Andrawes of air piracy and terrorism and sentenced her to 20 years in prison.

Dec 3, 1996 · The hijackers were demanding the release of Baader Meinhof and Palestinian terrorists held in Germany plus a ransom of $15 million. TV cameras captured the unfolding drama and after five days the SAS stormed the plane and shot three of the terrorists dead. The fourth, Souhaila Andrawes, was shot six times but survived the attack.

Souhaila Andrawes was born on 28 March 1953 in Beirut, Lebanon. She joined the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist group, and in 1977 she helped in the hijacking of Lufthansa Flight 181, killing the pilot Jurgen Schumann.
