2019 season highlights: Gorman placed 2 nd at the Bowdoin invitational and 5 th at the Connecticut College invitational. She then defended her NESCAC championship and placed 3 rd at the New England Regionals, qualifying for the National meet where she repeated as an All-American finishing 9 th.

Nov 5, 2019 · Waterville, Maine - Two days after winning her second consecutive NESCAC Championship, Sophia Gorman was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Athlete of the Week.

Sophia Gorman is pretty new to ultras, but her long history of Nordic skiing fitness proved a plenty good base for the GT. She not only crushed the race and won, but also got the second fastest women’s time in GT history.

Sophia Gorman graduated from Colby in 2022 with a degree in Anthropology and Economics. During her time as a student on Mayflower Hill, Gorman ran on the Cross Country and Track & Field team for three years and was part of the Nordic Ski team for her senior year.
