They do a convincing job of creating a phantom surround speaker. They are not really all plastic as they appear but are made from a labyrinth of heavy particle board with plastic panels.

It likely is 4 channel ProLogic, no sub, no center, no Dolby Digital, no DTS etc. it might make a good stereo receiver but it’s just not a good HT receiver 25 years later. It is all analog I’m guessing. I’m curious what you’re trying to hook up to it? Blu-Ray, CD only, Apple TV? Jeez.

If not I'll have to sell them and get some other speakers. What about a pair of Sony ss-d115 model speakers. someone is selling a pair for $20 anybody know anything about these.
