Release was to consist of Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 remakes. Were to be treated like one episodic game, both on the same engine. Is testing grounds to see if Sonic Adventure 3 is viable (yeah I said that unironically). Music was also causing huge issues at the time.

Sonic Heroes' gameplay is a little too far off from Adventure to really consider it an Adventure game imo. Every team has the same levels and core gameplay mechanics. I want a game that takes place in the human world, with multiple characters with intersecting stories that culminate in a final story, a chao garden, and bunch of vocal theme songs with a main theme and final boss theme by crush 40. Sonic Adventure 3 is just a name for title, but 06 is definetly similar to SA1&2. I'm 100% sure they didn't named it SA3 just due the fact that xbox&playstation haven't got SA1&2 at that time.

06 is not Adventure 3 the game is titled Sonic the Hedgehog and was intended to be a realistic reboot of the series. Sure it has Adventure gameplay albeit butchered.

Feb 2, 2017 · In regards to "Sonic Adventure 3" ... Wasn't it essentially already done? Isn't Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog extensions to the Adventure universe? Also, Sonic 06' even brought back several homages to SA1 such as city hubs, multiple characters, Wave Ocean replica, etc. To a degree, even Unleashed did this as well. The only exclusion these games was the lack of Chao gardens.

Sep 14, 2022 · In all but name it seems to fit. SA 1 was all about firsts. SA 2 had major themes of duality. Heroes is themed around 3 Heroes also has a story told from different perspectives like the adventure series (Though not as much overlap)
