VéloSoleX is a moped, or motorised bicycle, usually just referred to as 'Solex', which was originally produced by the French manufacturer Solex, based in Courbevoie near Paris, France.

Over the last few years VeloSolex Club U.K. has built up an extensive amount of Solex information from a variety of sources. As most of it was originally produced in French for the home market, it has meant taking the original information and translating into English.

Like the Italian Lambrettas and Vespas in the scooter world, the Velosolex set the highest standard in its genre, and remained the market leader for ‘cyclomoteurs’ throughout its production run. Good marketing was a key strategy.
