Dec 22, 2020 · UDIMM is a DIMM that is not registered (buffered), typical consumer computer memory. SO-DIMM is a different pin layout for laptops usually. edit: note that memory is sold to work as a set, even another of the same may not work -- although it usually does. Mixing speeds or timings will make success much less likely.

May 15, 2016 · All sodimms are dram but not all dram are sodimms....basically sodimms are the laptop/mini pc form factor for ram. Dimms are the desktop variant. Dram is just the term for ram. So it very much matters what your using it with. Also yes frequency should match your motherboards and the faster the frequency the better the performance.
