The auger and impeller turning after releasing the lever usually indicates the auger brake needs replacement, out of adjustment, wrong size belt etc. Certain temps and wet snow conditions cause snow to stick worse than others, products like fluid film can help.

Feb 19, 2025 · Out out of the options provided the ariens is likely the best especially for the price. I wouldn't touch either of those craftsman or snapper. 1 of the craftsman is a single speed mtd which are prone to expensive transmission failure and the other snapper/craftsman are murray built machines suck at throwing snow.

Jan 31, 2014 · The snow can sometimes drift two to four feet in my driveway, so I have experienced snow that is much higher than the blower. For the most part it just cuts the snow and the excess slides over the top. I try to blow the snow before it gets too high, or else I just knock it down lower with a shovel.
