So, my point is, snorkeling can depend on the location, time of day, weather, etc., whether there is good snorkeling at a particular place. We were super lucky this time on the Big Island, every place we went had fabulous snorkeling. On Oahu, I often like Shark's Cove.

6 days ago · My first time posting...my family and I are making last minute plans to go to a Greek island from June 15 - 21 this year. We are interested in snorkeling and/or scuba diving, hiking, and day sailing. We are all active and range in age from 33 to 69. Any suggestions will be tremendously appreciated, as the choices are overwhelming.

May 29, 2023 · I don’t think you’d miss anything if you didn’t go. I went, since I was in the area, but didn’t snorkel. It was just as you think it would be - pretty, clear water, and the idea of what you’re looking at is interesting, but certainly think there are other places more worthy of your time (in my opinion) if you’re not snorkeling it.

Jun 18, 2021 · I have been to Hawaii (3 times), Grand Cayman (1 time) and Puerto Rico(1 time). From the East Coast, the last two are much less expensive but it should be clear which one we strongly prefer. We did have fresh conch on a sailing/snorkeling trip in Puerto Rico.

Apr 18, 2022 · You’ll have no problem getting a taxi. You can also book tours offered by private companies. Again, make sure you’re back near the dock in plenty of time. We did this while on a cruise in the Caribbean. Instead of paying $150 for a snorkeling day, we paid $30 for gear rental and a local shuttle to the same beach.

Sep 11, 2024 · We normally use VRBO for condos on Kauai but use hotels on Big Island so we’re close to the beach. As far as what to do, Volcano National Park, the Kona coffee plantations, take a day trip to Hilo, snorkeling tour boats to Captain Cook area, paddle a kayak across the Captain Cook bay or the amazing night time mantra ray snorkeling tour.

Mar 15, 2015 · Virgin Gorda (Little Dix Bay) remains one of our favorites, followed by St. John (Caneel Bay Resort). The to-do's would include day sailing to The Baths, Joest Van Dyke, and snorkeling, walks on the beach and more snorkeling/sailing. But, if your to-dos must include nightlife and a lot of shopping, then these places may not be your best bet.

Another easy hike with a beautiful view is Makapuu Lighthouse Trail. It's on the way to Kailua Beach Park, where you can enjoy the beach and watch amazing kite surfers, and the Byodo-In Temple.
