Snezhinsk (Russian: Сне́жинск, IPA: [ˈsnʲeʐɨnsk]) is a closed town in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia. Population: 48,810 (2010 Census); [1] 50,451 (2002 Census). [5] The settlement began in 1955 as Residential settlement number 2, a name which it had until 1957 when it received town status.
