It had no tumbler nor half-cock and the priming pan cover moved independently of the frizzen. Nov 10, 2019 · What is the difference between a snaphance and a flintlock? I haven't found a clear description anywhere I've looked. Superficially they seem the same - hammer, frizzen, pan - flint strikes the frizzen causing a spark in the pan, igniting the main charge.
