Aug 12, 2023 · I think the main driver of all the smash 6 talk is that there was a leak a few weeks ago that Nintendo's next-gen console is planned for release in late 2024. This has historically also meant a new smash game not far behind. Also Smash is one of the best selling switch games (and one of the best selling video games in general) of all time.
