Mechanically, Smash 4 is by far the superior game, but Ultimate is faster paced and is balanced much better, making it the superior spectator game imho. As a player, I slightly preferred Smash 4, at least until Bayo got released and ruined everything.

For Smash 4, we had bought all of the DLC bundles over the years, most often as a mixed bundle for Wii U and 3DS. When I look in the eShop now, it's like every bundle is listed twice. Additionally, I think all of the individual elements of each bundle are showing up as previously purchased as well.
