Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) is the premier maritime law enforcement force functions under the Ministry of Defence. SLCG is established under the ‘Department of Coast Guard Act No. 41 of 2009’ as a multi-mission service for the purpose of ensuring the security of the coastal areas ,the Maritime Zones, the territorial waters and the High seas.

The SLCG has numerous logos (this includes "seals") in use. These include not only general group logos, but also station logos as well as training centers' and other facilities' logos. All logos that are created within SLCG for use by SLCG are the intellectual property of the SLCG group.
