DJM Suspension offers a 3 inch front and 4 inch rear lowering kit using lowered control arms in the front and shackles and hangers in the rear for the 1973 to 1991 models. They also do a 5/7 drop for the 1992 to 2000 model years.

Mar 5, 2023 · Are the r2500 suburbans the same lowering kit as a c20? Recently purchased this 1990 r2500 and looking to install a 3/4 drop as well. Love the look of yours! I’m finding it’s kind of odd having a tail end of the square body era truck and hard to confirm what does and doesn’t fit.

Mar 20, 2019 · Options we know of are remove leafs to lower loosing some load carrying capabilities, use 1/2 ton shackles by drilling them out to accept the larger diameter bolt used on the 3/4 ton shackles. This leads me to think that the only difference may be the mounting bolts and bushing diameter.

Sep 10, 2001 · I have a '79 C20 LWB that is lowered. I got lowered (3") lower control arms for the front. 1.5" Lowered coils. Rear has flip kit with "C notch". (all suspension stuff bought from AIM in AZ) Truck looks and drives quite well. I use it to haul my racebike. The only problem that I have now is that it tachs at about 3700rpm at highway speed.

Jul 8, 2005 · With the recent air suspension technologies, it seems one could lower a C20 and still be able to haul a load. I'd like to do this on a budget with my '65 so I was thinking about doing new 3" drop C10 springs on the front and a bolt in airbag kit for the rear.

Jan 14, 2009 · The rear springs and spring hanger may not be the same, the dual wheel setups on c30s moves the spring in closer to the frame than on the c20 single wheel application. The spring hanger bracket on these models is narrower, which may make problems with using a shackle drop or shackle flip kit.
