Oct 18, 2021 · The question’s been answered but I’d like to weigh in- for people with specific needs there’s lots of factors like hand grip type claw vs. palm, hand size, health issues, space constraints, modeling style- but for Sketchup unless you’re modeling basically 24/7 (or even if you are), you don’t need a complicated mouse.

Jan 29, 2020 · The 3d mouse uses a driver extension, I don’t believe 3d connexion have released a driver update to address the issue. However, you can find the relevant files in the 2019 file structure and copy them to the same place in the 2020 file structure. As I’m not a Mac user I can’t tell you where they are. I know it works on Windows.

Nov 18, 2015 · My 3D mouse worked perfectly in SKP 2015 but cannot be programmed in 2016. There is a 3DX plugin comes supplied with 2016 in the system library > Application Support > Sketchup 2016 > Sketchup > Plugins and the 3D mouse seems to work according to whatever settings are installed in this.

Aug 5, 2023 · I use a 3D Connexion Space Mouse, not the enterprise but just the simple 2 button puck. It’s a bit less expensive and offers the same control of the geometry without all the surrounding buttons. The space mouse is decidedly not a trackball, and does not replace the need for a three button mouse in the other hand.
