Apply solution. Thoroughly coat each filter in your Simple Green solution, making sure to spray between the pleats. Soak. Leave your solution to soak your filters for about 10 minutes. Clean the filter housing. While soaking, use the same Simple Green solution to spray down the inside and outside of the filter housing. Rinse with your garden hose.

Dec 15, 2009 · For cleaning purposes, I am thinking about soaking the head and cylinders in a big bucket of simple green for a couple hours to loosen up the crud all over them. Is that safe to do? My main question is will I get water into places that there should never be water, like behind the cylinder sleeves for example.

Jul 29, 2013 · I've never heard of a diluted Simple Green soak. Wouldn't think that would do any good at all. Lots of folks swear by good old Pine Sol - the original no-nonsense version. Not the lemon flavored stuff etc. Soak in that for a bit, especially warmed up on a hot plate (not boiling) and you'll have better results.

Jun 8, 2006 · IIRC, they say that it works best to run your filter through a couple of dishwasher cycles to get all of the chemicals out. Since I don't have a dishwasher, I've never used Simple Green. You could probably just spend 10-15 minutes rinsing with the garden hose. Just rinse a lot more than you think you need to, or you will have the foaming problem.
