I recently came across and purchased a virtually perfect 1977 P230 in "9mm Police" caliber, (SN #106167) and I'm curious if anyone could provide me with any information about it outside of the few threads I found on this forum, and several other locations.

Oct 19, 2018 · The P230/232 is one of the most natural pointing handguns I have ever shot. If you get one I highly recommend trying a set of the Hogue wrap around finger groove grips. They are not pretty, but the fit and feel are amazing (for my hands).

May 10, 2024 · After some negotiations, I walked away with the pistol and a couple of Ruger MKIII magazines, all for less than 5 Benjamins. I really wanted a P230 SL since I prefer stainless & 2-toned pistols, but this blued P230 was too good to pass up. Something about the classic lines & craftsmanship of the P230 & P232 have always appealed to me.

Aug 12, 2024 · I would like to know what ammo folks have had success with and would recommend for a Sig P230 380 ACP. Want something that feeds reliably and would be effective in a self defense situation. I know the P230s don't feed some hollow point ammo very well. I will test whatever ammo in ours to make sure it feeds reliably in this specific gun.

May 31, 2016 · SIG P230 or Walther PPK/S or Bersa Thunder Just wondering if you owned all three and had to choose, which one would you guys keep. The criteria only includes foreign made models. Since I have never owned and thus have no experience with the Bersa I don't have an opinion on it other than a gun that cost less is usually less of a gun, but not always.
