Jan 30, 2016 · It sucks for me. But SIG really will be the big looser in this. My agency just authorized use of personal weapons from a list of about 30 different 9mm semi-autos. I was the first to buy the SIG P224. About 2K LEOs are going out and getting their own weapon(s). I am our of HQ so I will make sure no one shares my experience. SIG's loss on this one.

Jun 30, 2024 · The 40cal was a bit of a problem child when they first came out. SIG addressed the issues but I think that gave the P224 a bad rap and likely played into its demise. It's a great little pistol and it's price on the secondary has climbed some since was discontinued.

Dec 7, 2016 · It shoots so well in .40 as well. I do like the .357 sig in my p239, so I'm not feeling the need to get an extra barrel for the .224. I'm not going to give Sig more money on the p224. If I see one on ebay or forum for a good price, I might grab it, but if your p224 wasn't already .357 sig, I don't see the point for me going from .40.
