Jun 3, 2020 · The P245 was a compact model with the stamped carbon steel slide and has long been discontinued. The more modern equivalent with the solid milled stainless slide is the P220 Compact (6+1 rounds).

Apr 20, 2016 · Same story as my last 245. The newer P220 compact mags (which incorporate a “dimple” to stabilize the next-to-feed round) give me flawless reliability. So, if you’re considering one of these, personally, I wouldn’t trust the stock mags 100%.

Nov 29, 2013 · Can't tell if the takedown lever length is longer on the 245 or if the takedown lever hole is actually closer to the pivot pin. According to Brownells, the takedown lever is common to the 220 and 245 (and several other models) so, I would guess the the takedown lever hole and pivot pin hole are closer together in the 245 frame than the 220 frame.

Nov 21, 2014 · my 245 doesn't say made in germany on frame but does say "de" & the slide says made in germany & "de". they're both from germany, as were all 245's, whether the were assembled there or in the usa with german parts determined how the frame/slide/barrel were marked. here's my stainless compact, both "de" & made in germany on the frame.
