Shoshone-Piaute Tribes of Duck Valley Indian Reservation

We specialize in wildland and structural fire suppression as well as all-risk management which include search and rescue, vehicle/building extrication, hazard materials response, and natural disaster events.

We are a self-governance, compact tribe with a wildland fire cooperative agreement for local, regional and national wildland fire incidents. We employ approximately 40 intermittent firefighters annually as well as camp crew members and 3 drivers.

The structure protection of the Fire Department consists of 16 volunteers that are currently in the Firefighter One IFSTA (International Fire Service Training Association) certified. We are a registered Fire Department through the Nevada Fire Marshall Office (#05957).
