Shennongjia Forestry District (Chinese: 神农架林区; pinyin: Shénnóngjià Línqū) is a county-level administrative unit (a "forestry district") in northwestern Hubei province, People's Republic of China, directly subordinated to the provincial government.

Hubei Shennongjia is one of three centres of biodiversity in China. The site features prominently in the history of botanical research and was the object of international plant collecting expeditions in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Shennongjia Nature Reserve is the well-preserved Natural Geopark located in Hubei, China. The highlights of Shennongjia are Shennong Alter, Shengnongding and more scenic spots.

Shennongjia Nature Reserve, also known as Shennongjia global geopark, was listed as a world heritage in 2016 for its marvelous scenery and famous legends.

The Shennongjia Forestry District in central China's Hubei Province is the only administrative zone in China with the word forestry in its name. It's not a misnomer.

Hubei Shennongjia is a forested mountain massif mostly known for its floral diversity. The conservation area protects the largest primary forests in Central China. It is a place of significant scientific interest particularly for botanists, with many endemic plant and tree species.

Shennongjia National Park is in the watershed between the Yangtze River and the Han River. Spanning about 3,253 square kilometers, it boasts a virgin forest coverage up to over 91.2%. It also features wetlands, lakes, gorges, rainfalls, streams, etc.

Located in the northwestern part of Hubei, Shennongjia National Park is among the 14 key areas of international significance in the world in bio-diversity conservation and research. Hubei Shennongjia World Heritage Natural Site is of outstanding universal value.
