The song is based on the traditional Ukrainian folk chant welcoming the New Year (“shchedrivka”). In 1921, the Ukrainian National Chorus sung the song in the United States to a sold-out audience at Carnegie Hall.

But what's impressive with bands, even if it's just ABC notations, is the fact that they spent the time to coordinate and prepare what songs they're playing, the outfits they're wearing, figure out which instruments should be used, their physical positioning for the performance, etc.
