Mar 24, 2025 · Sharlee DiMenichi: What initially led you to embrace pacifism? Michael Mears: [laughs] Oh, wow. It’s interesting. It doesn’t run in my family. My grandfather fought in the First World War, as did my great-uncle. This is on my English side because I’ve got an Italian side as well. And my father fought in the Second World War.
