Mar 27, 2015 · Flycutters aren't used in industry anymore (they've been replaced by indexable face mills) but they're a cheap, re-sharpenable option for the hobbyist. I'm interested to see the results achievable with a flycutter in the S3, but one would need to run down around 5k rpm to get good results on a 1.5" diameter cutter in aluminum. Shapeoko #1,123 Hans

400 watt brushless spindle and controller - The Shapeoko Forum
Feb 19, 2015 · I just purchased a 400 watt spindle motor and controller, and there was no wiring documents or information how to wire it. There was no CD with it as stated. I can't get any information from the vendor. If I don't get the information, I will have to send it back. I have enclosed the link to see if anybody out there has the information to this set.

I have limit switches on my Shapeoko and it's configured to home in the front left corner. When it does, I see the absolute position is a negative number. Is there a way to configure my machine so home is 0,0,0?

Nov 9, 2024 · I ran the same job again using the Shapeoko 3 Standard Grbl (mm) (*.gcode) and it still plunges to nearly go through the entire stock. If I may ask, in the Material Setup, Under the Home/Start Position there is an X, Y, and Z Gap above Material.
