Aug 24, 2018 · i have the same issue, on a lot of games (not just some), the AWCC.Background.Server is takeing alot of RAM (3-8 GB), and i'm not even sure why, since there is no reason for that big amound of RAM needed.

Jun 21, 2022 · When performance drops to a stop (I can leave it for several minutes and nothing will happen), the AWCC.Background.Server process is running, consuming around 4GB of RAM. That should be manageable given I have 64GB RAM, but even so, the machine cannot cope. Any advice would be really appreciated.

I installed the 5.5.9 version AWCC version and add constant WMI issue (mouse showing the loading blue circle as when something running background) Uninstalled and tried back to 5.5.8. Same issue. Went back to the last version I knew was working 5.4.35 + OC control 1.3.68.1380. (As of 5.5.0 it seems OC control is included)

Jun 19, 2020 · I have fixed my issue. Now AWCC.Background.Server does not hog CPU usage after boot up. What i did was: 1. install AWCC 5.2.81.0 2. open AWCC interface and go to FX. Check what alienware accessories are not detected. Mine was keyboard AW768 not detected. 3. Install keyboard driver. 4. Go to Microsoft Store and install update all add-on components.

Feb 20, 2024 · G15 5511, possible memory leak from AWCC.Background.Server I have recently discovered that as i'm using my laptop although i have upgraded my memory from 8gb to 16gb that still get out of memory. I discovered that this was not a problem from my laptop but it was occuring due to high memory ram usage from AWCC.Background.Server.exe process.

Mar 29, 2021 · I disabled my AWCC overclock1, restarted and let boot up for about 15 mins. then opened up Task Manager and no longer do I see the AWCC.Background.Server @ very high usage and idling as normal. It's not always about uninstall and reinstall the programs. I kinda hate when someone tells me to do that. Anyways I hope it helps someone one day.

Mar 29, 2020 · I had the same issue with my Alienware monitor. Successive updates of the software did not fix the problem until I uninstalled everything to do with Alienware from my PC (which is not an Alienware).

Background initialization will slow down your IO performance but not dramatically unless you commit your rebuild rate to 80-100%. Rebuild Rate option affects Consistency Checks/Background Initialization and Virtual Disk/Container rebuilds in the event of a failed disk.

Apr 26, 2020 · i think is not more regular that my AWCC.Background.Server reach 5.9% od CPU and electrical consumption is to "Very high" with just a few of 28.7Mb of ram. sometime my area 51 freeze at startup, just after windows login, for a couple of minutes then return available.
