Sega NAOMI Error 02 - "This game is not acceptable by main board"
May 14, 2019 · They all fail. Sometimes there will be TI buffers and these are usually fine. So I think the specs on the Fairchilds were not as posted. At least this is my opinion. Its quite normal for users to see an issue and think "up the voltage" which definitely would cause these buffers to fail. I recommend running everything Sega at 5.1vdc.

Jul 16, 2012 · I'm going to be doing some experimental power harnesses for various sega applications since these things are a bitch to wire. Especially since you need a power supply with 3.3 volts. There are just wires going everywhere. But don't over think this. Just get 5 volts to the board and you should be in business.

I find that Sega Bds are the better pcbs to work on out of any manufacturer. First problem is the low cost iron and solder wick. That will cause issues on any pcb.
