May 9, 2006 · For unlimited towing, Sea Tow is 149.00 and Boat US is 120.00. BoatUS has a 25 mile limit, and Sea Tow claims to be unlimited distance. Which is better must vary by region. Mar 12, 2025 · The Sign & Glide is managed through Compass Marine Services, who in turn contract out to local operators like Sea Tow or whoever is in your area. However I spoke to Sea Tow, and they said dispatches through Compass are considered to be non-members, and as such any regular Sea Tow member that calls for service will get priority.

I have had Sea Tow for close to 20 years. They came and got me 20 miles out at night, they came and got me 5 miles off when my engine blew. They even towed my boat 18 miles north for repairs and I wasn't even there. Now I trailer 100% and still have them with the trailer package. As long as I have a boat I will have Sea Tow.

Jun 30, 2024 · Not too familiar with Long Island but Sea Tow around VA and NC has a pretty bad rep. I personally know of a guy they wouldn’t come out for in isolated summer thunderstorms, and there was recently an incident with a fisherman who was lost at sea and there’s competing stories on if they tried claim the boat vise surrendering it to the family/ other owner.

May 31, 2018 · Also, Sea Tow will tow me pretty much anywhere I want, within reason. I live on the water, so it's important that I have the option to be towed back to my house. With Sign & Glide however, they'll tow you to "to the nearest point of repair or removal". This would most likely be whatever marina I happen to be closest to.

Jetski to sea tow captain? Slow down buddy. Sea Tow guys are experienced and can assist with a variety of problems and even salvage boats. It will take you years of operating boats before you get anywhere near that level of experience, a jetski wont cut it. First step is buy your own boat, and learn/enjoy.
